About Early Advantage

Early Advantage was born from my experience of seeing education from two very different perspectives.

I attended a state school before studying at the University of Cambridge. Today, my own children attend private schools.

As I began preparing them for Reception, I became increasingly aware of the difference between the national expectations and the level of preparation commonly seen in many high-performing private schools. Yet there was very little practical guidance available to parents explaining what those differences looked like — or how to prepare for them.

What I found instead were thousands of disconnected activities, with little indication of which skills mattered most, how they should be sequenced, or what secure understanding actually looked like.

I created Early Advantage to bridge that gap.

Every resource is carefully designed to combine educational research, national expectations and the progression commonly seen in high-performing independent schools into practical, achievable activities that any parent can use at home.

I believe that access to high-quality educational guidance should not depend on the school a child attends.
